... open. We found this fascinating, even though, as we have come to expect, all information is only in Spanish. The most impressive room to us was the library. It has really old books, many from the 12th Century. It also has an amazing, ornate ceiling. Unfortunately photography is not allowed and there were no postcards of the room.

Another amazing room is the Panteon where some ...

... again, and a relaxing arvo. Lunch, sleep, wander around town and more rest. 7.30 dinner in house - and having had lunch here, we knew dinner would be ok. But.... we weren't expecting this! We were greeted by a group of volunteers who gathered us around a table as ...

Peter and I hiked back to our B&B and it took about 40 minutes. We wandered around Murias and visited an amazing marionette shop in this little out of the way town. Keep in mind that it has only 108 residents! The marionettes are works of art and I want one! Check out the photos! Miguel and Begona are artists! Who would have thought ...

Day 21 Sahagun to Calzadilla de los Hermanillos

Had the best Croisant for brekky this morning only 10 minutes into my day. The exit from Sahagun was a lot better than the other towns on the Meseta as there was minimal pavement then on to gravel path. Sadly the first 5km was beside a regional road, which thankfully had minimal traffic. After 5km we crossed over the Motorway and on to the Calzada Romana i.e. Roman road.

The village at the start of the Roman ...
