... filled to the top with sand that was now weighted down with the rain, I stopped at one of the shops near the exit to empty them and take some time to look around. I amazingly found a seahorse made out of sand from the dune, which made my day!

To finish my day I got on the bus to the station and then a train back to Bordeaux. Going from the rain to the air conditioning on the train gave me such chills that I then headed straight to my hotel to stay and warm up for the night.

All the white wine grapes here are hand picked, but the red is both hand and machine picked. While the red wine is pumped during the fermentation process to mix the juice with the pulp, seeds, skins, here their white is mixed by hand with big wooden spoons.
