... you kind folk. Merci beaucoup! So much so, I decided to turn down the offer of an elelphant just this afternoon even though I had been reliably informed they have a history of helping people cross the Alps.
I'll close now as it's going to be an early night for me. I expect it will be a long, arduous day similar to the first day through the Pyrenees last year. Let's see if I can beat 11 hours this time.

We just finished the tour du Mont Blanc - 180km, 3 countries, 9 days! Also some sore feet by the end...
actually it was probably some of the nicest hiking we have ever done - stayed in some lovely hotels and mountain refuges, ate amazing food each day, good wine each night!
