Since we only had one full day in Chamonix we hit the ground running and found a coffee shop right away. Unlike other days when we write the blog at the end of our day I am writing this at a train station somewhere in or near the Alps in a little town called St Gervais -La Fayet. As we left our hotel this morning to catch the very efficient trolley bus back to Part Dieu station bound for Chamonix, they tell us there is a huge marathon being run in the city and our trolley bus is not running! Mon Dieu! But there is another bus just up the road! Phew! After ...
