On the way the bus got pulled over by the cops, that was a first. I think he got a warning because we were soon on our way. The town is really hilly and you need to take a train to go from one side to the other.

Paul's training has kicked in. The Ironman in Copenhagen is on 23rd August. Paul went up the valley this morning (on another beautiful day). It is exceptional to think that the way that these tunnels were dug back many hundreds of years ago would have been back breaking work - moving 1m/month only and then having to haul out the rocks, sediment, and anything else in wooden back packs on their backs. Difficult work for sure. There were no fast little rail cars back then…

... and a really brilliant day and experience we took the cable car back down to Grainau. This is another amazing experience, as you crowd into a small steel and glass box, and hope gravity does not win out this time. After returning to terra ferma, we made our way to Schloss Neuschwanstein AKA the Disney Castle. This castle was created by a guy called Ludwig and he is said to be have only spent 170 days there. Based on a number of recommendations, one being from a German, ...
