    Day 14...fried food poisoning

... that basically sold fried food. So we had to try it out. Fried chicken with fried cheese with fried chips with fried something that was meant to be meat... I dunno. Enough calories for 4 weeks. And feeling slightly ill.
While eating, we planned our sleeping situation. It appears that its hunting season, and the entrance to every forest has giant "be careful of hunters" signs, ...

    An overnight stop

A travel blog entry by thetravelmoores on Sep 29, 2015

We drove 75 miles in the sun to have a couple of nights stop at Han-sur-Lesse, which we knew to be a nice stellplatz having been there before. There were 2 other Engish vans already there when we arrived, both with dogs one of which was yappy! We went for a stroll around the town, most places were closed and nothing much had changed. Back to the van for a cuppa and a rethink, when another English van ...

    Legging it in France

Here are some of our highlights in no particular order:

    - The amazingly deep, narrow and plunging Gorge de Verdon, edged by a precarious, narrow road on the left and right sides. Nail-biting stuff, but a breeze after Greece! -The grandeur of the soaring, jagged peaks of the French Alps, fold upon fold of razor sharp teeth, and all unclothed without snow at this time of year.

-Stunning emerald lakes such as Lac de St ...

... 3 was probably a little over ambitious. Nigel and R2D2 took off a little late but overall it's been a good first day. Lots of travel on what can only be described as shockin roads in Belgium was a little boring at times. But the strawberry flan, The Twits, a great swim followed by a superb pasta were the highlights for me. Yup the first day went well. Now for a monster drive to Switzerland for our first day under canvas. I hope I remembered the poles ...

    Overnight at Charleville-de-Meziers

A travel blog entry by thereays on Sep 16, 2013

Monday morning dawns clear and sunny, and we set off for Charlesville de Meziers.

Apart from some heavy traffic, on the outskirts of Lille, a completely uneventful drive.

The Aire at Charlesville de Meziers is full, so, we have to use the adjacent campsite (Camping Mount Olympus ).

We have time for a walk into town, and a beer, before the rain starts.
