      ... hair wet, when some people arrived who she had not met before. Pennys french is basically bonjour, mercy, and au revoir. So "Bonjour" to these ladies, one of whom excitedly talks to her.       ... which never happens to me! I blame the altitude. Once the mate had finished DJing we moved on to a rum bar which has like 50 different flavours of rum. By now I was sobering up a bit so that was good. We met a French guy who couldn't speak a word of English but could speak German so we had a chat and I could practice my German which was good fun.       ... short hike was that and steep, all the way up to chalet du floria, where a couple opened up their garden to the public serving hot chocolate and oranginas at a small fee, for the breath taking view.
