      ... Hansen etc.) colorful restaurants and bars. The only downside was that due to ''extreme'' snow conditions we couldn't take the Mont Blanc train nor could we see the Montenvers Mer de Glace.
      To sum up, I must say I wouldn't recommend Chamonix as a must-see but it's a nice town to spend a few days but definitely not the best place for skiing. ...

      Driving in the luxury of the Benz into Charmonix for lunch
      and then through the Mont Blanc 11.6km tunnel into Italy is fantastic and we take the road
      leading up and over the St Bernard Pass. it's the highest mountain road pass in Europe 2300 meters. Lucas has put that
      car through its paces on the twisting turning switchback roads and scared the
      **** out of me on the hairpin bends but ...

      My indulgence with what appears to be be too much to read and too many photos is the exceptional experience of Mount Blanc combined with Chris's 60th birthday, too difficult to just gloss over. Today we were up early, we want to be on the first of the gondolas to get us 3,842 mtr above sea level. We travelled a series of cable cars, trams and walking tracks to cover as much of the mountain as is possible in a day. ...
