We’ve had the same hotel attendant here for two nights who is very good at his job and has helped us with booking today’s adventure as well as printing out boarding passes for tomorrow night’s dinner cruise, following our visit to the United Nations, located on the site of the former League of Nations.

In the afternoon we went to Chamonix and booked a guided tour for some hiking and mixed climbing up at Aiguille du Midi tomorrow morning. So excited!!     It rained all day!! We decided to take the train as far as we could towards Switzerland (15mins) to Vallorcine and had lunch in a cute little restaurant recommended to us by our camp ground.     ... range of preserved sausage with the more standards to white mould covered variations. They also had cheeses which looked deliciously aged. I have been eating a Comte from the supermarket which I loved, and these looked like the real deal – you could buy a whole wheel (about 1kg or so) for 10 euro, and the amount of mould on them would make you think they had been stored at the back of the sink cupboard!
