... Friday we had date night and went to see the new Hobbit movie. Like all other movies, it's already been out in the U.S. for quite some time but has just gotten around to coming out now in Japan. I'm not sure how much a 3D IMAX movie is currently in the U.S., but I hope it's cheaper than the $22 that we pay here. That was a waste of money for the Japanese man who snored behind me the whole time. It also could have been a more expensive night had we of stayed ...

Our Christmas week started off busy, so it felt just like the holidays do back in the U.S. Sunday morning we braved the snow and went to the little church. It was nice to be able to watch the snow come down during the service. The tables at their house were definitely divided by language but everyone tried ...

I slept great, there actually was a real bed in this room, really the only time I would see one on this trip, usually sleeping on traditional tatami mats with cushions on them. I was up at 7AM, the very kind hostel owner had some green tea and little biscuits for me, very sweet. I walked about half a mile in the cold air, got to the train station 30 minutes before the train was to leave, I ...

... I can still say, “I`m going to stay home.” Apparently not... She said “No” again and I was like `oh for fffff`. Apparently I was meant to say, and bare in mind I’m reading it off of her sheet she handed to me, “I`m doing to stay home.” So I said to her, “Ah, it`s `I`m going`, not `I`m doing`” but she just looked at me like I had asked her to divide 3824 by 27.5 (139.05 btw). This is the same ...

... sense of community by having them clean up the area around their school. I looked at the area they weeded later and they did a great job.
Once I got back to the house I looked out of the window and noticed the sky was very dark toward the center of the city. It wasn't long before we starting hearing thunder, so we knew a storm was on the way. The problem was that the weather forecast said it was currently partly sunny and only called for a 20% chance of rain. We've ...
