... our feast was ready. We had butternut squash soup, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, cranberry sauce, macaroni & cheese and ham. ... were out celebrating what should be the cherry blossoms, but the trees are still bare and have yet to produce any new buds this season because of the cooler weather. We also walked up to the Hokkaido Jingu Shinto Shrine where there were some food vendors out for the holiday festivities. Unfortunately when we picked our fortune at the Shrine it said we were to have only "somewhat fortunate luck", so we tied it on the line and left it at the shrine for our luck to hopefully improve. ...
