... best museums. Surprisingly we spent almost three hours touring the museum and still we did not see everything on display. The late afternoon saw us head for the Parliament building where we were able to watch the changing of the guard. A truly unusual spectacle as the dress of the guards and their very peculiar gait is really unique. The guards stand to attention, ...
... temple was just breath taking! I couldn't believe that after all the years that is has been standing it is still in great condition. It has survived through many natural disasters! I recommend this tour to a school group as for it will be very educational to anyone. The temple is just a natural beauty and a must see!

We head back after a big day out and of course have a lovely snooze on the bus, which has become a regular occurrence when on these ...
... there is graffiti from past visitors, including Lord Byron. Today we it is roped off to avoid more destruction of the famous ruins. There is not much to see but with a little bit of imagination and the brilliant description of the temple made by our great guide we can just see what it was like in the 5th Century BC. Below we see the port that was used for the ships of war. This is one of the main routes by sea into Athens. And the vast blue of the sea!
