    ... 4.40 for a 33cl bottle of coke ouch ! A can of supermarket beer £3 A 300 km cycle ride ending in alta was going on whilst we were in town so we cheered some riders in, then headed back to camp.     ... sunk nearby, with a museum in an old bunker. John and Rob explored some guns, etc but the museum itself was closed. Tromso is a great city, but had far more to see than we could fit in.     ... despite this people were flashing away which was a bit annoying but if you wandered off a little away from the crowd it was less disruptive.

    I asked one of the guides to help set up my camera as my usual Night Scene settings weren't really getting any images.     ... is a chapel carved from ice and yes the roses on the altar are real ! Even a bridal suite & 30 bedrooms spread along two corridors with arched doorways.
    Our room is No.6 not too far along the corridor, (David was pleased as it meant a short walk to the facilities if he needed them in the night).

    We enjoyed a drink of Aquavit served of course in ice glasses from the ice bar, it was not until the next morning when I was wandering ...
