Brought brekky this morning at the Cologne railway station because we discovered they have lovely yogurt and muesli. Then we went shopping. I bought a pair of German shoes, made in Hamburg, for $52! Rosanne bought a very comfortable pair of new season shoes for a little more. Found unbelievable bargain at a 5* Hotel. & couldn't resist. To put it into context the breakfast cost 50% of the room rate! We didn't have breakfast! Even better, parking was also extra but as GG was too tall for their underground car park, we had to park with the smart cars in front of the Hotel at no charge. Hilarious!

It also offered quite a view. There was also a little food stand where I trie my very first bratwurst. It was actually quite tasty with some mustard on it. The girls then proceeded to take me to a place called magic mountain. ...

... sturdy and nice enough for going out then that’s all you need. However in winter consider how rain/mud might affect them.

Jandals. Good for indoors, good for showers in hostels, good for the beach, good for letting your feet breath on long-haul journeys (just bring socks in-case you get cold). Don't worry too much if the local Europeans look strangely upon your naked feet
