So, we finally arrived in Sydney, and we're staying in a small YHA a few kilometres out from the city centre in Dulwich Hill. A few metres up the road, we had the option of all sorts of cheap restaurants and takeaways. We became fond of a Vietnamese restaurant, with nice food and wine, and the first night we ended up chatting to the owner, who turned out to have once been an officer the South Vietnamese army, who managed to get out with the American evacuation, but then spent 2 years in a tra...

Well after the buzz that was New Zealand, i had to return to reality and get back into work.
I'm based in Canberra at the moment, and have been here for 9 weeks staying with Sean's parents, all of our work is based around the area so we took advantage of the free accommodation and food.
Sean's family, being Canadian are all into Ice Hockey, so i did manage to go to an ice hockey game in the national league, it was great, something different.

... nothing. our second flight to kuala (cant spell) lumpar leaves at midnight and so now i am freaking out because if you know me well then you will know that i absolutely cannot sleep on planes. I'm starting to wonder if Mum booked the flight at night just to annoy me! but other than that i cant wait to get to Malaysia, relax and enjoy the cuisine.
wish me luck on the plane that i will sleep and that Ben doesn't throw up again :(

We got up this morning at 4.30am and headed on down to the dawn service - it was about 4 degrees and the rain held off until about half way through. The ceremony was great (packed out) and well worth the early start and freezing morning. We are now in Macdonalds using the free wi-fi (i love this!) and contemplating the rest of the day. Ill put ...
Mia nød bare at tage jordn ...
Canberra, Australia joergen... got chatting and it turned out she was running a charity that helps various children's homes across Thailand. We gave her the details for Dada's so she could get in touch with him to see how she could help. We drove up to a lookout over the city, took some piccies and had lunch then headed to the Institue of Sport where we had tickets to the International Ballroom and Latin Dance Championships (I had managed to convince Will to come with me!) We ...
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia willndebs... random and diverse music there seemed to be a void in the age demographic right around my elderly mid 20's (**** i'm old). There were thousands of 15, 16 and 17 year olds then again people late thirties, forties and above. What happened to all the hippie's of my generation damn it!? I did my best last year to change that while teaching... I guess I'll just have to send good vibes to everyone... can you feel it? Yeah, thought so... Say ...
Canberra, Australia closedforlunchYesterday we decided to take our first tour. It was with about 24 people. Small & very friendly. We had a lady tour guide, about 28 yrs. old. Put a nice slant on it. First we went to a wildlife park. We saw baby wombats who were so cute & cuddly. Like big stuffed animals. Then I got to feed baby kangaroos. The only kangaroos we had seen so far were 2 dead ones we had passed on the road. We didn't want to leave Australia without seeing ...
Melbourne, Australia gloria18... salad, tomatoes and boccocini and olives! Yum yum, it was magnificent. There are two huge traditions in Australia that occur on Boxing Day. The first is a cricket match. This year it is Australia vs. India. The game lasts 5 days. There are three variations of cricket match length. I still don't understand the rules and I have tried and tried but really I just can't be bothered. I was raised with baseball. I ain't going to turn now. The other major Australian event that ...
