... will have to be next time. Bronte and Flynn sang him happy birthday in Italian. Not sure why but it made everybody smile. Was very sad when it was time to go. Bronte was beside herself and wanted to stay. We had a great visit. They are wonderful people and fabulous hosts. Very welcoming and generous. The kids are lovely and we really enjoyed getting to know them. Be great to catch up with them all again some day - maybe halfway, say ...

Having enjoyed some peaceful solace in the spa yesterday I thought I should record some of the facilities here. Looking at the photos it just isn't anyone's idea of 'camping' - it's a posh place where you bring your own accommodation! We are one of only a handful of tents, it's all caravans & motor homes and predominately German. The girls enjoyed the pirate treasure hunt and came back with T-shirts ...

Quite by accident we found the Milka factory in the next town. It houses a small museum dedicated to Mr Suchard and explains how they make the chocolate and the different jobs in the factory. A small shop sells everything from chocolate to ski wear to umbrellas, mugs & backpacks - quite a Milka lovers heaven - Gen is our No.1 Milka fan and ...

Why are caravans always white? That was the debated issue of the morning.... Probably prompted by the fact we are pitched next to one that is green (!) and, awnings - always blue & grey - never pink (that would be cool). Our colour scheme is green - we go for green if we have a choice. Our loungers (my luxury item) are stripy - really cool & super comfy; we gave them good use today in the sunshine. Today ...
