Today we are docked at Remagen and meet our tour guides to see the Bridge at Remagen Museum, which is a memorial to peace. As you walk toward the museum, first you see across the Rhine River what is left of the bridge on the other side of the river. And you also see the remnants of the opposite side of the railway bridge built in 1916 to 1918 to supply troops during WWI. It was used briefly after it was finished but was left unused until WWII in 1944 to 1945.Remagen ...

... beers on the street with two Northern lads from the UK, talking about "rum turkeys" (still don't know the meaning of this - anyone?) to giggling all night with the people in the dorm. ... to get into the university is that you must pass the physical tests. Which you can only fail 1 out of the 20 tests. It's pretty high and the fail rate is around 55%. It's a combination of swimming, track and field, gymnastics and team sports tests. So it's actually quite hard to get in for the Germans. So, that's a little bit about the university.
