... played songs on an accordion all night while the locals sang along to the songs. We then went to Peter's Brauhaus which was filled with people dressed for the carnival. We split the kebab and went to sleep not long after, ready for another ...

Over ten years in scouts taught me to Be Prepared. Thank god for that and the memory of what can and did go wrong on the way to Monaco 18 months ago. Our next stop was the Cologne Christmas Markets where Kate and Roy took to the ice for a couple of hours ice skating while Nathan and Traci headed to the bar for a kinder punch (Traci) and a gluhwein (Nathan) to warm up. Kate and Roy had a fun time skating even if there were a couple of falls!

Our day in Cologne was great and we are sure the memories of this day will stay with us for a long time to come.

They probably had breakfast and lunch, and then, somehow, they found themselves near the railway tracks during the evening. Was it an accident or suicide? Suicide seems more likely, judging by the news reports online that state that in their careers, German train drivers can expect to see ...

... Beethoven was born in. John went on a quick tour as the rest of us walked around. All the stores are closed here today. We flagged down two taxis and headed to Rhineau.

This is a very large park to the south of Bonn city on the bank of the Rhine River. Today is the last day for the Bonner Bierborse, or Bonn Beer Fest. This was one of two reasons we decided on staying in Bonn. We arrived right at 3 when they were ...
