After looking at the church we wandered around the city. Eventually we found our way to the Statdpark, where Mozart often held concerts. There are statues throughout the park of famous musicians and composers. A lake in the center of the park had swans swimming on it. A Blend of Old and New

Our next stop was the Hofburg Palace which housed many important people in Austrian history. We saw the extensive silver collection of the Habsburg dynasty (a lot of silver and various serving dishes!), the Sisi museum, and the royal apartments of the emporer, Francis Joseph. A very elegant place to live, but not easy lives for those who resided there.

... come back and see the countries in more depth, because I'm worried that eventually they'll all run together in my mind. Still - Italy and Paris (again!) are sure to be memorable. Day 19: Wiener has more than just schnitzels
... stores were closed on such a nice Sunday morning. We were disappointed that the market places indicated on the map were closed as well, but as we walked closer to our lunch spot, we were delighted to find ourselves in the middle of an astronomical clock performance! No wonder why this place was crowded with tourists, as this might be the only touristy thing that was opened here today.
Before long, we had arrived at our schnitzel restaurant! ...
