So today I'm going to upload 2 blogs that cover the last week as my weeks pretty easily divided into 2 parts - Switzerland and Munich. So beginning with Switzerland. Holy **** that country is beautiful. And I mean beautiful!!! Everywhere you look it is picture post card perfect, if the Swiss people were as beautiful as their country they would be some of the most sort after people in the world. Inevitably the 6am alarm didn't work but it didn’t really matter, as it was so cold by that time I was hardly going to be asleep anyway. However, this only covers Interlaken, and Lauterbrunnen (first city in the valley where all the mountains and trails start) is about 20 minutes drive south. So instead, we decided to drive to where we wanted to take a gondola ride up to Schilthorn. The ...

    Christmas Day

A travel blog entry by reenybeeny on Dec 25, 2012

After breakfast we walked up to the forest again for some exercise.

Then the family took us to Rhine Falls an impressive waterfall about 30 minutes from Zurich (5 SF each).

It was then off to Katrins house for Xmas dinner, which was a bit hit with Shareen. We had a traditional Swiss dish of potatoes and melted cheese (Raclette). You had to put the cheese on a special little platter under a grill to melt it, then scoop it onto the potatoes - yum ...
