    ... the station, but eventually found the place and travelled up. Arrival at top coincided with gale type winds and lashing rain-could only see about half mile views! A quick walk around some surrounding woodlands (cue 'A walk in the Black Forest' soundtrack!), then straight to the cafe (there is always a cafe!) for warming hot chocolate/coffee, then back down. ...

    ... easy (wide enough roads) and amazing. A bit of bad luck: the Schilthorn was cloudy and you couldn't see a thing at the top.
