... there was one interesting part when they brought out a comedian dressed in red, white, and blue. Mmmm….I wondered. He spoke in english some of the time then converted back to German--it was at those moments that the crowd roared into laughter. Oh well--we just continued to say "guten tag" to everyone in order to blend in as much as possible!

We drove along lake Brienzer-see and stopped ...

The town seemed unusually quiet, almost deserted in a way, possibly because it was the "dinner hour". There was the faint smell of wood smoke in the area, and it definitely felt like fall was on the way.

Fortunately I only had a few minutes to wait until departure of the train, and the trip back was very quiet. I ...

... and a piece of bread, we left the scene to go to another restaurant before returning home in pitch darkness and steady rain. By that time, I reached my quota for the day.
The weather was improving on Saturday and clear sky Sunday morning. My niece, a friend of her and I decided to ride some mountain passes again. We left early riding through light fog along the lake of Thun, passed Interlaken, followed the lake ...
