Today was the third day of skiing of the trip but the first day of jj not skiing. Because of this we decided that Mum and I would take turns (shifts) watching him whilst the other skied with Dad. ... adventure capitals of the world by some. We went to Lauterbrunnen in the morning to start the first of many mountaineering expeditions and hiked to Mürren (elevation 1600m). Along the way we got up close and personal with the wildlife in the region - cows! And there are so many - you can hear their cow bells from miles away. ... paintings housed in the triangular sections of the roof were destroyed. Some relating to the patron saint, Maurice were returned (had been removed when the name of the bridge was changed to Chapel Bridge - can't remember why his paintings were removed and would you believe google could not help). Some panels have been left blank as a permanent reminder of the destructive fire. The bridge was actually re-constructed very quickly after the fire.

... They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will direct you to the photos rather than try to describe. Dad and I were pinching ourselves the entire time – it was that beautiful. After we landed in Schetelberg, we took a busride/trainride back to Wilderswil, and had a nice dinner at a quaint restaurant in town. There, we enjoyed pumpkin soup and a yummy Portugese beer.
