We left Makarska around 9am and made it to the Split Airport around midday.
The scenery between Makarska and Split was breathtaking. We took the coastal road where on one side are the mountains and the other steep drops right down to the ocean. There were small towns dotted along the coast line. Absolutely beautiful. Croatia is an amazing place with so much diversity and beauty.

Up again early, had to fight for breakfast as it was very busy but pack cases and put them on the bus and off for walking tour of this beautiful city. It is a lovely city which boasts one of the oldest concert halls in the world. We do a city tour and admire the beautiful squares, famous three-armed bridge, architecture and shops. After our tour we have time to explore and Kerst and I head for the castle. Our plan is to catch the cable car up ...
