... Some of them have walls that are quite intact, others have only small sections remaining. One pretty little place that sits on top of hill is San Gimignone. It has narrow paved streets large enough for service vehicles to use and narrow twisting alleys with archway aplenty. It was swept very clean when we saw it in the early morning but some of those narrow allies with dark out of the way corners stank of urine. Not exactly unexpected really because public toilets ...
