The days were spent driving the small roads right next to the river and stopping to climb up to a fortress or a castle or just sit and watch the barges and the river cruise ships go by.

After Trier, we had an easy time riding the train...then a boat down the the Mosel, then down the Rhine to Bacharach. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking, but we are still very relaxed, entertained, and loving the food and weather.

The man was so distraught that he threw himself off of his castle wall to the rocks below. Sad ending to a sad story. Following the commentary, we went to the lounge where we were told how to make Rudesheimer Kaffee, coffee, brandy, sugar, whipped cream and dark chocolate...YUM?? Not for ...

If you can imagine 3 lanes of a 6 lane highway totally stopped for 30 mins, the traffic queues just literally go out of sight, for Kms....
So, as much in frustration as anything, due to the current circumstances, since Treas had poring over her current bible - Lonely Planet's Germany for Travellers, and had been waxing lyrical about Koblenz, I saw an exit ...
