    ... which was located inside the Dormition of St. Mary Cathedral. Built upon the foundations of a 10th century church in 1797, it survived the era of atheist communists and now displays dozens of spectacular religious artworks by Onufri.

    Out of the castle and down the hill, we popped into another Ethnographic Museum, which again was housed within an 18th century Ottoman style house. The museum had numerous displays on Ottoman clothing and culture on show.

    ... in Corovode, the primary activity was going on a hike with Kaylie to see the canyons along the river. It was absolutely beautiful weather, so for Kaylie this was her first day in nature with her feet in the mud and no shoes in many months! What a joy. We had a fun time talking and frolicking in the canyon until the sun went down behind the mountains, and then it was too darn cold.

    ... something like stupid people don’t know how to kill a cow, he’s just stunned it. For some reason we are driving by really, really slowly, it seems. Think there was traffic. I saw that the man with a mallet was drawing back for another shot at the cow’s head so I looked away at that point.     ... he will bring us a portable heater as it is possible that the heat will go off in the hotel if the outside temperature gets below 0C. We find out with this hotel that most of the hotels do not bother to heat the rooms that are not occupied. It is very cold in our room and we can’t take off our coats yet. We get the portable heater and if we stand directly in front of it, we are a bit warmer.
