Unfortunately the word bland comes to mind when describing parts of Italy; the food didn't have a lot of taste, lack of colour in the buildings, no flowers in windows, even the people didn't seem to have much life to them (except Selene and the hostess at the Venice hotel). ... for a bit and eating some of the miniature cookies we were gifted from the hotel we decided to get ready for the evening. We walked around town a bit looking for a place to have a drink. After finding most bars were either closed, too smoky or only restaurants we ended up at Palais Coburg which is a very expensive hotel.
