Ken went one way and I went the other. The town was mistakenly bombed by the Allied Forces and the Allied Forces mainly Americans were defeated here 1800 Americans died. The only old places that survived were the church and the merchants building. Ken went to Arnhem, to see the museum about the battle of the "Bridge to Far". There was a wonderful museum and also a well kept Commonwealth Grave Cemetery. It was amazing the deep thanks the Dutch still have for the 1st British Airborne ...

If she did, she didn't let on. We chatted about family stuff, and work stuff and generally pointed out interesting things to each other as we passed them, like the drone flying over head, filming us. It was nice to walk with someone else, and Mona ...

    Day 3

A travel blog entry by cindyaserkoff on Jun 30, 2014

Today we left to ride on the dikes where the river once flowed and is now greenery with farms, bird sanctuaries. We stopped for apple pies and coffee, a daily morning activity. Eventually we crossed into Germany. You can tell the difference between holland and Germany by in Germany there is a different road surface, wires above ground, houses with solar power and more agressive drivers. We visited a war ...
