We arrived in Karlovy Vary and we went for a walk around town and their tradition is healing spa water.

Some of it is about 72 degrees and then you drink it and it heals you, I don't believe it.

But I am DEFINITELY NEVER drinking that water again.

The next day is Zaras BIRTHDAY, but the funny thing is I slept in until about 9:00 until they
      woke ...

      We walked around town.

This town is known for healing water and spas.

The healing water is disgusting. It is 72 degress hot.

That is the hottest I saw.

      Dad drank most of it.

      I had 1 sip.

      IT WAS DISGUSTING!

      Zara had her birthday there.

Zara got make up, Anna ...

Greg describes the taste as old copper pipes or what you get when camping on Currigee.

      ... the middle.

    • Apparently the way to enjoy your "brew" was to sip it while munching on a traditional wafer biscuit. I bought a chocolate one to enjoy with my glass of metallic salty water.
    • I walked around a bit more afterwards. I took a wrong turn and ended up on top of a hill behind the town.
    • On the way back to the hotel I found a supermarket and bought some food for dinner. It had started raining and was getting ...

So after a very late night last night it was up early today to head out for a 9 1/2 hour excursion. We were headed to the spa town of Karlovy Vary- about 20 kilometers from the German border. The town was originally settled by Germans but now is heavily populated by Russians. There are 16 mineral water springs in the town, in addition to the many hotels and "sanitariums" where one can bathe in the mineral spring water. Each tap has ...
