    ... along the Soca Valley - this is so clear - mental note to return next year and camp

    We pay our 5 Eur and set off, talk about butterflies, hope we do not meet anything coming the other way and pray we get the right exit at the end of the tunnel otherwise it will not take long to get to the bottom

    ... the azure waters of Dubrovnik but those intrepid travellers Tim and Helen set off for Montenegro where it appears very, very, very wealthy Russians spend their millions. Of the Balkan states we visited, Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro have not recovered from the war of the 90s to the same extent as others. The bullet holes in the walls of houses in Mostar are a vivid reminder of the conflict.

    ... that overlook the river. The culmination of the morning was that we sat in San Marco cafe which has operated continuously since 1789 in this piazza. We both have a hot chocolate and these are to die for. You have to experience the Italian version of hot chocolate; it's like molten chocolate, amazingly thick, rich and absolutely delicious. When you come to Italy you have to have one of these....amazing! W took photos but they really don't do justice to the drink. ...
