... Woszczowa. It looked religious. I finally hit the 100 mark and reached a campsite, which is more like a football field at the end of a line of kebab stands and campsite cabins near a lake, in Sielpia Wielka. It's full of the kind of people spending their summer in the same campsite. Yup. All too soon we are beginning our trek homewards. We journeyed back to Kielce after a final breakfast at the Hotel Swietokrzyshki. Being the last houseguests to arrive for breakfast, we were provided with enough food that could have fed the entire village!

... most people we meet here, they had many questions about Australia.
We did exert ourselves enough to walk down to the nearby village, which had very limited facilities. Our Canadian friends tell us it has shrunk considerably since they left, as it was once a thriving community. However, it was good to have the opportunity to walk past traditional cottages and pretty gardens, similar to many villages we have driven past in our travels.
... that the Polish sausage wasn't as good as his dad used to make! I then sat and listened to them exchange family stories, and even though I didn't understand a word, the happiness and warmth was infectious. Jola and Darek were nearby and we caught up with them too.
We are just about to go for a walk through the forest, to work up an appetite for a late dinner at an adjoining hotel about fifty metres ...
... we headed back to the apartment and found a fantastic restaurant for dinner. The meal with drinks for three of us was around $55AUD!
It has been wonderful for Vik to reconnect with family, and to hear tales of his father as a young man. He has certainly remembered all his Polish language, and he fits in so well that it is often necessary for me to do a double take to find the Port Adelaide fanatic Australian!
