... Austria with floods and snow causing transport chaos so we cannot complain. Today we tested out Mary's boots and walked the 4 km to Millstatt to access the wifi in a cafe where we had lovely goulash soup for lunch. Only problem was the smokers in the room but we had no choice. Today, Friday we caught the bus to Seeboden, the next village past Millstatt. We used the wifi at the Tourist bureau. The driver was pumping the tunes, flicking on and off the inside lights to simulate strobe lighting and even handed out home brew schnapps... best ride ever! Note here that he was not drinking... just gave ...

... and boat rental areas were plenty. It was a very relaxing walk. Dinner was very nice even though we didn't have Slovenian food - we shared a salad and seafood tagliatelle. Now for the foodies: Bled is famous for its specialty a cream cake called kremna rezina ( in Germany it's called kremsnita). It is a layer of cream and a layer of vanilla custard sandwiched between sheets of delicate crispy crust. Heavenly! Slovenes travel from all over the country to sample this dessert. We ...
