Arrival was smooth and journey good considering how travel can be. Beautiful bay, secluded and sheltered. Loads of yachts moored up all over the bay, I guess as it is so very sheltered from all winds. Our flotilla has 9 yachts in total and some 30 souls travelling. Very beautiful old city and ruins. 300 days of sunshine a year. Visited the Knights of St John castle. We have now visited the 7 wonders of the Ancient Greek and Roman world without really trying! Hotel Thomas is probably the largest building in this small hillside town with commanding views of the South Ionian Sea. We even had plenty of time to enjoy an hour or more in the incredibly clear waters of Fournoi Beach and a delightful stop at the medieval Monolithos Castle, a photographer's delight, especially as the sunset hour approached.
