... grade. Excellent! Boys happy and Girls happy (for now). So we booked on to the Grade 3 Via Ferrata Col Rodella at 1:30pm with local guide Renato. Then it was back to the caravan for some sunbathing and an early lunch. After lunch we met up with Renato at the Col Rodella Cable Car just round the corner from our campsite and got kitted out in harness and helmets, then it was into the Cable Car and swiftly up out ...

Yippee!! We are here in Italy in the Dolomites. Campsite No 4 is called Miravelle and it's in a pretty little village called Campitello Di Fassa. It's a lovely site, again very clean and well presented. The location of it is amazing - we are in the bottom of the valley with the mountains rising up all around us and loads of trees too. After about an hour of driving through the mountains we reached the campsite at Campitello di Fassa. 194 Miles but still a 7 Hour drive, completed safely anyway. ...

... at the top we saw that the walking tracks zig zagged the train tracks through the countryside and many walkers were using the train to break or extend their routes. In hindsight a train ticket would have added even more to the day. There are 2 further cable cars that travel up to 2260m, which would be great to explore, but we begin cycling ...

... rocks go for miles and miles. The ski lifts go right up over the rocks and are so high off the ground, the ride would not be for the faint of heart. The rocks are a white and light brown color with little to no vegetation on most of them. From below the jagged rocks look razer sharp so I can't believe what they would look like up close.

It was quite cold at the summit with another ski lift going even higher to the tip top ...
