... looking down on the yachts in the marina. We walked through another part of town, a little bit away from old town, and had a seat at the riverside. On our way back to the hostel we stopped at a sort of Lidl to buy some items to make dinner. This was a very successful dinner and we have made enough for tomorrow's lunch as well. ... is the heart of Old Town. The Town Hall was built in 1402 to 1404 as the headquarters for the ruling burgermeisters. Within the square people dressed as knights and medieval peasants re-enact daily life. At one point we climbed up a narrow stone staircase to a tower in the wall. What a cool place. Its very different to where I've been so far this holiday. The roads are wide an plenty of cycle paths. The houses are ace too. Popped down to the beach which was like something out of Miami. Really nice sunset and the tide was out which left a pretty cool pattern in the sand. Couple of pictures for sure! Found some great street art too! Big fan. Tomorrow the final long distance coach ride to Riga. Very excited. Here's a few pics from ...
