We finally made it out even though we wished we had an extra day there. We went into town and saw the castle and walked the cobblestone streets. ... in nice contained stone lined channels. This town holds the local rescue and learning center for the Hucul horses. This breed lives mostly wild within the park, though they are small and like to lie down so finding them in the park can be difficult. We went to check out the possibility of riding the horses, but we learned when we arrived that the woman in charge was at lunch. As we decided whether or not to wait, we walked back into the stable area to ...

... marzipan museum. It is a truly unique place. The highlight of the small museum is a baroque room with the floor, wall paper, curtains, furnishings all made from marzipan. Definitely worth a visit when in Eger. At 1100 we gathered together to board the bus for Recsk to have lunch in an elementary school and visit with the children to expose them to some native English speakers. Elementary School is compulsory from age of 3 through 14 in Poland. Parents pay only a nominal amount ...
