... not doomed to spent the entire month in Ostende we decided to catch the tram and then the train and visit Bruges The weather by this time was looking rather iffy and so donning our waterproofs we set forth. When travelling abroad there are always people wishing to practise their English and help hapless travellers find the right stop, platform, place and with a plethora of helpful co travellers we arrived in Bruges without incident. The difference with Amsterdam is I know I will need to go back since I saw next to no sights, but I know I will back there one day. And when you are sight seeing, meeting new people you lose track of the days. I had NO clue today was Monday. I actually thought it was Saturday. Very weird indeed....

... the background along with the occasional church bell.

Sitting quietly inside, you're transported hundreds of years in the past as you can imagine the people then coming to attend a service, The tranquility of it allows you to just be, think, reflect. For those wanting to record the experience, the best is by hand, either words by pen and paper, or artists by sketching. No photo could do this place justice, I bought a ...
