You guys. You guys! You know how sometimes a place is known for something. Like, for example, how Belgium is known for chocolate? Well. It's for good reason. Holy hand made dark chocolates, Batman! We have spent the last two days in Belgium in a small city called Bruges. Sometimes spelled Brugge, and occasionally, though not often, spelled Brugse. It is a historic medieval town that apparently looks almost identical to when it was first built. We decided ...

In Suriname it is easy and not expensive to arrange your private means of transport, if you don't want to rent a car. - Rent a bike in Paramaribo (e.g. at Zus en Zo), like many Dutch visitors do. Make a bike tour in and around the city. The countryside of Pramaribo's surroundings is flat and the roads are OK. - Take a taxi and bargain for a a good price. Your private driver ...

... the top of the B&B on the third floor - with more stairs. And once you enter the room, there are another flight of stairs for Mum and Dad to get up to the loft to their bed. Dad has been muttering under his breath 'Cobblestones, Stairs, more Stairs, Cobblestones'.... that is Europe after all!

Another Pat quote for the holiday (we won't mention his sleep talking one night - that is one reserved for story telling upon getting home ...
