Paris, part deux

A travel blog entry by stacimcg

My British friend from work, who lived in Munich for two years, had provided all sorts of useful tips and advice for our European travels. About Paris, he had all of two words: Don't go. When I explained to him I had never been, and that we couldn't not see the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, he revised it to three suggested directives: See the Eiffel …

Bonjour from Paris...City of Light and Love. We arrived today and expertly took the Metro/train in from the Airport (Charles de Galle). Tommy was quite impressed with my knowledge of how the metro worked and that we didn't get lost. I did alot of studying online and found a very useful website - The author even has pics of how …

4 glorious days in Paris without the kids! It was marvellous. We stayed in a
budget hotel but it was very close to the city centre and we had a view of the top third of the eiffel tower from our room! On the hour from 10pm onwards the eiffel tower sparkles with lots of white lights and looks magical.

This is a top pick!

Paris c’est magnifique! I am completely in love with the city of romance!

Arriving by train just after lunch we managed to navigate our way through the underground labyrinth to our first metro stop. After boarding, I felt the excitement rise. I’m here, I’m actually in Paris! After such disappointment of not getting here …

To mention a few we saw noted dame, Latin quarter, sant chapelle, isle de st louis …

The location of this Hotel was fab with a view of the Eiffle Tower. A typical old Parisian building with narrow staircases it was perfect for us. Not a lot of space in our room, but we were only there for sleeping. One of the best value accommodations we could find.
