... design!
I was told that each room of the hotel is uniquely designed. Each room reflects a theme. Unfortunately, their website doesn't show any of their rooms. Only hotel guests have a privilege to see them.
There is a library on the second floor of the building, where you can take a look at books on art and architecture.
I really wish to come back for lunch and spa!
Soba restaurant "Takano" that stands on the half way of the two main streets of Yatsuo, I heard, is famous among soba manias. Soba plant is cultivated by Yatsuo farmers, so there are many soba restaurant that serve locally made soba noodles.
You cannot leave Yatsuo without having soba!!
A stone-path street and houses with lattice doors are good match!! They surely create an atmosphere of nostalgia. Lattice doors are quite functional as it can breathe and at the same time it can ...
... my son would love to eat elephant shaped kamaboko, although I don't think he would finish it all.
"It is said that KAMABOKO, a Japanese kneaded fish product, has peculiar origins. It has been a part of the national diet since the Jingu period (4th century) when the empress first tasted it during her travels. It was prepared by her serving men who kneaded the fish, placed it on the tip of a spear ...
Furudo is just the outskirts of Toyama City. There is a dam for agricultural purpose. Although there were no people (no tourists) present when we were there, I thought the dam could be a nice sightseeing spot. Since there is a bath house there, I hope people find this place to have a relaxing time.
There is an astronomical observatory near the dam.

There was a museum of old checking station in Inotani. It's too bad that Inotani checking station no more remains. It could be a great sightseeing spot if we are actually able to see the station.
The hightlight of the day was viewing Tokoniji Falls. Although I've never heard about the place, I thought it ...

When I entered the store, I could sense a bitter-tasting smell of medicine right away. The store looked pretty new, probably renovated ...
... exchange heartfelt bows along with business cards. Jules and I stumble towards the door, nearly hitting our heads this time on the way out. The summer night is surprisingly cool. Maybe thats because we were just crammed like sardines for the last hour or so. Julian is pulling me in the direction of our bikes he says, but I'm assuming that this is another one of his "short cuts." No matter anyhow, since I'm not really in a rush.
Jump five minutes later and ...
... informing me to put any dirty clothes in a bin in the laundry room, I finally relented. Originally I wondered "how could someone be so eager to perform these duties for anyone other than their own blood?" My initial hypothesis was, that after years of being mother to her own 3 children who have now since become adults, those motherly instincts do not simply go away, and thus she can continue these practices by hosting foreigners. I was wrong however. As we engaged in our regular after ...
