... losing over € 80,-- instead of possibly only € 20,-- when my friend chose not to eat. Quelle domage!
Happily we managed to spent what we weren't able to consume at the next market!
I would not go back to Ribeauville, yes to Kayserberg! Although, I must admit that this was not my first time to this area, the landscape is delightful, the food however was surprisingly mediocre everytime we ate out. Would love some insider recommendations.

... before going to Morroco. We went out to get me some cigarettes and noticed that the City game was on in a bar so we watched that and I drank so Rose which was cheap Ian was on beer and it was nearly 6 euro a pint the most expensive yet.
Ian wanted to go back to the room but I was enjoying the rose so we went just to another pub around the corner with some locals in who bought us shots and ended up getting drunk again, I was ...
... here in France as all the letters and nu,bers are all the wrong way around so if it looks silly I am sorry and I will have to catch up with the rest of the blog another time as it will take me years.
Anyway we found our hotel and we upograded our room to have a kitchen so that could cook and rest and stay in a little before we go off to Morroco. So thats what we did we went to the supermarket ...

Once we found our car (pure luck), we hit the Route du Vin once again. This time, our destination was the village of Eguisheim. Eguisheim used to have ramparts encircling the town, but they are long gone and now a narrow alleyway has taken its place. It is a ...
... with costumes and masks and bands. Damn near froze standing still for that long, but I had a good vantage point for the pictures so I wasn't going to move for fear of losing my spot. After the parade we got stuck into the gluhwein and some hot food then went back to the hostel for a hot shower, then out for dinner. We went to a local brewery that had a restaurant incorporated and had such a good time that we made it a regular while we were there.
Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany danandroz... we won't even try to spell here) are heavily influenced by German tradition. We decided to spend a week here exploring all that the Alsace wine region has to offer. We found an apartment to rent for a week that worked out to a little more money than we would pay in a budget hotel, but we wanted the kitchen to save money cooking for ourselves. It should work out to be cheaper in the end. What we didn't expect was the wine region to be so close to home ...
Colmar, France meganandkevin... that, despite our current political challenges with the French, over our shared history our interests have aligned more often than not. As impressive as grand sights like the Normandy beaches are, sometimes these smaller, local monuments really hammer home how troops were liberating people's homes and neighborhoods. About 40 miles north of Colmar sits the Chateau de Haut-Koenigsburg, a large castle overlooking a strategic point in the Rhine plain ...
