Today was mostly spent travelling the long distance from Kyoto to the remote island of yakushima. We took a bullet train to Osaka then changed train to one bound for Kagoshima. From there we somehow made it onto a bus to the port. We boarded a jetfoil at 16:00 and had a pleasant 2 hour journey across with lovely sea views.
