... how deep the water was and I wasn't volunteering to wade it find out, as we were on our own we decided to reverse out and retrace our steps. Back at the main road we drove into Keramoti to catch a ferry to Thassos, one of Greece's greenest and gentle islands. It has sandy beaches hidden in rocky coves and pine clad mountains. All along the street there was hot water gushing out if pipes into the gully running down the edge if the road, the water is lovely and hot, I can just hold my hand under it without it burning.
