... able to leave our luggage on the tour bus...the rest of the group is due to arrive in Sofia tomorrow night around 7 - 8 p.m. They will visit a Roma school in Stara Zagora in the morning and then tour Plovdiv before heading to Sofia. I told them to take lots of pictures for us!

Tomorrow will be another big day for Zach...wish us luck with our bus travels!!

... we arrived at the orphanage we went into Dr. Panova's office and talked for a little bit. Dr. Panova's English is awesome...we didn't even need a translator as long as we talked slowly! She showed us a book with Zach's picture in it. After we talked for awhile we went for a tour of the orphanage.

It was so awesome because some of Zach's caregivers were still there...they were so happy to see ...

After my rocky start, my time in Bulgaria has gotten easier, which is due in most part to my great hosts and their semi fluency in Bulgarian. They've schooled me in a few key words (please, thank you, phone card, train) and let me borrow a phrase book so my train trip back to Sofia, where I had to spend a few hours before catching my flight to Athens, was a bit less formidable. I'd only planned to spend a week in Shanovo, but since we all got along quite well and they haven't ...
