I arrived safely in Almaty after a grueling 30 or so hours of travel. Actually, the flights over were fairly comfortable--for both the long flights (San Fran-->Frankfurt-->Almaty) I had two whole seats to occupy, which was nice. Another wonderful morning with a clear blue sky and a warming sun. Up at eight again and by that time John could get into shorts and I out of fleecy jumper and long johns.
