Fuji good times

A travel blog entry by nataliegodliman

... I feel so excited to see it so clearly, we've talked for so long about coming to Japan and seeing Fuji but I just didn't fathom its immenseness. Clouds roll by and we caught it just at the right time. We hike down the steep steps through the gorgeous red and orange autumn trees to the bottom back at the lake. In the evening we had a fish party and the manage of the hostel skilfully cut open a big tuna and we samples delicious sashimi and parts to boil into water with veggies. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that the table we sat at made us feel like we had eaten one of the special cookies from Wonderland. We were giants. ...

Dinner Adventures

A travel blog entry by cvschafer

The guys warned us that dinner in Mount Fuji was going to be an adventure, boy were they right. Let's just say that getting lost and asking for directions has an entirely new meaning to us since using the map wasn't an option considering none of us can read symbols and pictographs. Along the course of the way, we ended up driving through a cemetery with giant pillar-looking headstones. It was beyond creepy. Once ...
