      We whiled the morning away doing more window shopping after breakfast. We were to catch the train to Tachikawa after lunch as Shigeki and Norzin were meeting us at the Granduo Shopping Centre at 3pm.

      We decided to stick to Kawasaki and wandered around looking for more lens filters. UV filters are so hard to come by now. They only have "protection filters" i.e. multicoated glass ones. Anyway, we bought one more and exchanged another ...

      ... and cool slowly down. have a nap and recharge batteries. We are the only guests and have all the attention of the personell.

      The onsen we can enjoy for the first time together and this is a perfect cure for our muscles to recover. There is even a refridgerator with beer available.
      In our Yukata we are seated in the dining room and enjoy a great dinner and we take another bath before we retire.

      ... Half way up we pass them as they rest exhausted before the next attempt. We don't stop and continue our way up. As all the path is easy to follow (no one is allowed to use other than the official path), but steep, we pass the station 6, 7, and 8. We arrive at 22:30 at station 9a and decide to lodge there.

      For a reasonable CHF 55.- per person we get a bunk bed with approximately 150 others and rest until 02:00 when the climbers ...
