      ... did not really prepare us for the vertical effort required - anyway we did get going and plugged for an hour or so to the top at 180m above sea level and down the other side via a hillside village for a swim.

      The return trip seemed slightly better and overall we already completed 17km in the first day (DIfficulty level 3)- bit of a shock to the system but back onboard pleased to be back and a local diner for cabonara. Quiet alongside but did not sleep that well first ...
