      Tristan complained about the heat. I marvelled at the number of tourists. Even though we hardly did anything, it was an exhausting day for me. There was the emotional fatigue of having seen Max off, the physical fatigue of the heat, and the intellectual fatigue of not having a home base and knowing there was a long bus ride ahead of us, all of which made me feel more tired than I should have.
