Our cruise started in Venice on 4 October. The Oceania Rivera was all that we thought it would be. Our stateroom is spacious and very well fitted out. As with all rooms on this particular ship, we have our own balcony where we can sit and enjoy the passing scenery. There are numerous restaurants at which to eat. The flight lasts about 3 hours taking us directly from London to Heraklion, Crete. ... port and go the Hellenic Seaways office and yeah we got two tickets to Mykonos tomorrow so don’t know what that agent was going on about. Troy seems to think you cannot buy tickets online within 24 hrs so we went directly to the office. Well with tickets in hand we decide that we are not spending tonight in Heraklion so we head east.

About 15 minutes out of Heraklion we find some nice enough resorts and book ourselves into Knossos Beach ...
