... 17, at 7:45 am, there was a throng of people waiting there. All tourists, and all asians. Mostly the well to do Indonesians, with a mix of Chinese as well. We then made the half hour walk across town to the famous water park: Waterbom. This was always going to be a great day- a major overly touristy attraction for sure, but one that is just so much fun it didn't matter one jot that there were so many other people there. Jakarta is the home for many of the crew. It was very emotional watching the staff say good bye to their spouses and children. The families had spent the day on board touring the ship, enjoying lunch and playing with their parents. It was a bittersweet sail away. ...
