... speaker to say the flight would be delayed because of a signalling problem .. Bloody typical just my luck !!!!!! Of course the flight arrived in Kuala Lumpur airport half an hour late and it took loads longer than usual for the baggage to arrive, which had me running through the airport like a mad woman trying to find the check in desk for my next flight from Kuala Lumpur to Siem Reap, which is a different flight but with the same airline. As it goes it was worth the wait and we spent a few hours wandering around. There was no way we were walking back so we squeezed into a Tuk Tuk and that duly squeezed through the traffic.
Day one in Jakarta ended with some food, day 2 arrived and we set off by train to Bogor about an hour away and ...

(29) Krakatoa Trip

A travel blog entry by alcatrav on Jun 28, 2013

... out of the car and onto our speed boat; not quite the yacht from Dubai but not too shabby either. The journey across was a bit bumpy which Cat didn't enjoy very much and she felt unwell a couple of times despite the travel sickness pills! We arrived after about 1.5 hours at the collection of islands which Krakatoa made when it erupted in 1883. We slowed to go past these and take some pictures. Old Krakatoa really is very impressive and giant, and you can still see ...
