    From Volendam we travelled across The Afsluitdijk which is a 27km man made road which divided the sea and created a giant lake whilst solving The Netherlands problems of continuos flooding.     ... was such a pleasure to bike along quiet paths and beautiful countryside.

    Evelina and Chas live in a house called Klein Suisdijk. It really does look like a small version of the royal palace, Suisdijk. Evelina had tea and cake ready for us in the garden.
