This probably comes as quite a surprise to those unaware BUT Lisa can become a little grumpy if not fed. So, having arrived at the hotel at about 10:00pm it was our immediate task to find FOOD but not any food - vegetarian food of a calibre acceptable to veteran vegetarians. Marlin and I got up early this morning and headed to catch a train to Zurich. We initially were going to drive, but found that the train was faster and more relaxing. ... Zurich is built around the banks of the river Limmat as it flows from Lake Zurich. We were immediately struck by the incredible clarity of the river - this is no upside-down Yarra, you can see clear to the bottom of both the lake and the river, and we were later to learn that it's perfectly safe to drink from the hundreds of fountains around the city that are fed from the river.
