... tips-based walking tour at 11am today so I'll find out more about what this city's all about, but I've already wandered around a bit after I arrived yesterday and this morning, and have seen a delightful selection of streets and houses - and a castle overlooking the city which I'm planning to climb up to, foregoing the funicular railway on offer, ahead of the meal I'm hoping to enjoy this afternoon in one of the highly-rated Slovenian restaurants I've ...

Note to self: always make sure you have a generous supply of coins on you at all times.

... free. These buses are full of Australians, which when travelling, have a tendency to annoy me. I don’t really know what my problem was, maybe the ******** from the first night in Vienna had something to do with it, but it’s actually quite easy to stay clear of the bad ones and still meet some very good people.

Given that it was ******* down with rain while I was in Salzburg I didn’t have the chance to leave ...

... or the Internet, what gives?

The clock tower, that is visible thoughtout the city, was built in 1848 to serve as a viewing platform and tourist attraction. It provides a wonderful view of the city with the Karavanke mountain range seen in the distance to the north.

The Chapel of St. George, which is located in the Castle, has a 15th century Gothic Chapel with a ceiling that is decorated with the coats of ...
