    ... as a handsome face.

After slithering back down from the castle, we headed off for the Slovenian National Museum as I had read there was a good exhibition of local Roman remains and Squirt is a big fan of Romans. The collection was interesting, but the thing I got most excited about in the museum was a flute made from an animal bone by a Neanderthal man, sixty thousand years ago. That's pretty amazing.

... full all day and night with entertainment, people watching, cafes and statuary. Charming pedestrian lanes are everywhere making the city a great place to walk.

The things I loved about Ljubljana besides the above, were the prosciutto, the outdoor market and the church bells outside out balcony ringing all the time.

... jokes to top off the night with apple streusel. Tonight we are having dinner with the tour group in our hotel. It's a 255 mile ride to Vienna tomorrow, the longest stretch we've driven. The castle is across the river and the city has been blocked off to traffic to make it people friendly. Hundreds of people drinking coffee in all the cities. We can see families dining under the grape vines beside their houses. Lots of cabbage sold in the markets as well as ...
