We arrived in Darjeeling after a very long journey. A 6 hour train to Patna, with a wait of 5 hours and then a 18 hour train to Siliguri, from where we got a shared jeep to Darjeeling. The journey way incredible however, driving through the lush green jungles of Bengal and slowly climing up into the clouds. ... it easy and decided instead to look around for winter warmers while the cold weather was on our minds. At the end of the day we were still no closer to finding Annabelle a jacket and so did what we should have done in the first place, gave up and went to Glenary’s, the bakery.

In actual fact Glenary’s was a tea and cake shop and about the only place to really embrace the Christmas feeling.
