... an avenue of old, ancient cedar trees, and a volcanically active area with numerous steaming vents and a strong smell of sulphur in the air. We sampled the local specialty, black eggs, which are cooked in the sulphur rich thermal waters. They were much tastier than they looked. ... hundreds of different types of shells, clams, crabs, octopus and fish in all colours and sizes. From the small sardines to huge tunas.
After seeing all that I had a quick sushi breakfast and then headed home to check out before 10am.
Went to the Shingawa station to get my Japanese-Rail-Pass (bought the voucher in Manila) and booked on the next Shinkansen (bullet-train) to Nagoya. About 10min later I was on my way to Nagoya which only took about 1:45 hours.
