... ski school we got opportunity to eat in a few different places during lunch, around the Studenets area. And in the evenings we are again, unreal how much of an appetite skiing gives you. We did Gloria Mar on Sunday night, lovely grub, cocktails and free transport to and from hotel. We also found a lovely place called restaurant fis which had lovely food and wasn't too busy. Most mights we were sleeping by 11.30, fed watered and sore from the days skiing. I love the ski lifestyle ...

The room was a bit cool re the a/c overnight so up at 0600. Time passed until brekkie. Suggested to Red somebody probably pushed Daniela without asking the group to move the final group meal to tonight. I've done 45 to 50 group trips and every one of them has has a final group meal on the final night of the trip. I'm happy to miss it, the chemistry just not there in any event.

... drove us over some of the worst roads he'd ever seen. Potholes the size of bomb craters along the 17 km trip to the sanctuary. When it rains this road becomes a river, with massive rifts through it. Halfaway up this near-impassable road, the group saw a half finished hotel. WHY??? In the middle of absolutely nowhere with the crappiest roads, someone thought it prudent to build a hotel. We also saw a couple of what looked like restaurants and someone else had a 10 ...

... br> On the way back to the hotel we managed to go past the local Kwikimart and picked up a 2.3 litre bottle of beer for $2, and a $4 bottle of white wine for the home cooked dinner tonight at the guest house. Gotta love these prices! Our host, Dehska, had laid on a traditional meal of Bulgarian sausages and a casserole of mixed veges and a ginormous loaf of fluffy white bread. Delish!

Then, out of the blue, appeared 2 pint sized Babushkas/grandmothers or ...
