    So we were here a little ahead of schedule due to our experience in Bratislava, thankfully everything improved here and we were happy to stay the 2 nights we planned.

    Gyor was only ever a stop over destination and we visited the city centre today before we head off to Budapest tomorrow.

    ... we went down into the old town and explored the narrow streets, it was graduation week and groups of students walked around making a great racket and generally celebrating. As it was still raining there was no one at the numerous coffee shops etc. one can imagine on a sunny day it is far more lively.     Our boat was able to move upriver to the border between Slovakia and Hungary overnight, giving us a little more sleep. At 2:15 am we boarded a bus to the airport.
